About our Privacy Policy
Zouina Home cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with great care. We never provide your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Zouina Home. The effective date of these terms is 17/04/2023, and the validity of all previous versions expires upon the publication of a new version. This privacy policy explains what data we collect about you, how we use this data, and with whom and under what conditions we may share this data with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, protect it from misuse, and detail your rights concerning the personal data you provide to us.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact our privacy officer; you can find the contact details at the end of our privacy policy.
Data Processing
Below, you can read about how we process your data, where we (or third parties) store it, which security techniques we use, and who has access to this data.
E-commerce Software
Strato
Our e-commerce website is developed using software from Strato. Personal data you provide for our services will be shared with this party, which will only have access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, and they will never use your data for any other purpose. Strato is required, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Strato uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.
Strato reserves the right to share collected data within their own group to further improve their services.
Web Hosting
Strato
We use web hosting and email services provided by Strato. Strato processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for their own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of their services; this does not include personal data. Strato has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Strato is bound by a confidentiality agreement.
We only use your data for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the processing always directly relates to the assignment you have given us. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing purposes. If we use your data for other purposes at a later time, we will explicitly ask for your permission. We do not share your data with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are also bound by confidentiality either by agreement or by law.
Automatically Collected Data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not considered personal data.
Assistance in Tax and Criminal Investigations
In some cases, Zouina Home may be legally obligated to share your data with government authorities for tax or criminal investigations. If this situation arises, we will resist the sharing of your data to the extent permitted by law.
Retention Period
We will retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you inform us that you no longer wish to use our services. If you make this request, we will treat it as a request for erasure. Consequently, we will not retain your data for more than two years after the last contact or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. In compliance with applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices containing your (personal) data for the applicable period.
However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile or documents created in response to your assignment.
Your Rights
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as the data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. Below, we explain these rights and how you can exercise them. To prevent abuse, we will send copies and copies of your data only to your known email address. If you wish to receive your data at a different email address or by post, we may ask you to verify your identity. We keep a record of handled requests, and in the case of an erasure request, we maintain anonymized data. All copies and copies of data are provided in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an improper manner.
Right of Access
You always have the right to access the data we (or third parties on our behalf) process about you and that relate to your person or are traceable to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data along with an overview of the processors that process this data, indicating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right to Rectification
You always have the right to have the data we (or third parties on our behalf) process about you and that relate to your person or are traceable to you, adjusted. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been adjusted.
Right to Restrict Processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we (or third parties on our behalf) process about you and that relate to your person or are traceable to you. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to Data Portability
You always have the right to have the data we (or third parties on our behalf) process about you and that relate to your person or are traceable to you transferred to another party. You can make a request to this effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf. Most likely, in such a case, we can no longer continue our services, as secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to Object and Other Rights
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Zouina Home. If you object, we will immediately stop processing the data pending the settlement of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies and/or copies of the data we process (or have processed) and then permanently discontinue processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy officer.
